Pike lures: big baits, spoons and steel leaders.

A buying guide from Fishing Lures Co. Specs come from each product listing. Updated October 23, 2026.

Pike have sharp teeth, so two things matter: a big bait they will chase and a steel leader that will not cut. We sell large minnow lures, a jerkbait, spoons and 20-packs of steel leaders. The sizes below are from the listings.

Which lures?

Large minnows, jerkbaits and spoons are common choices. Ours include a 17.8 cm minnow, a 20 cm 49 g trolling minnow, an 18 cm 41 g deep diving minnow and a 9 cm 26 g jerkbait.

Why a steel leader?

Pike teeth can cut monofilament and braid. A steel wire leader resists them. Ours are 20-packs in 15, 20, 24 and 30 cm with swivels.

How do I fish them?

Retrieve a big minnow steadily or with twitches, and pause. Cast along weed edges and drop-offs.

What gear do I need?

A rod and reel that can cast a heavy lure, and strong line. See our rods and combos.
